CLOSING EVENT
The closing event of the project took place in Rome on Thursday 19th November 2015 at Rome University “Foro Italico” at 6, Lauro de Bosis Square.
The aim of this public meeting was to increase the knowledge of the project realized, as well as to promote integrated sport as a factor for social and economic development.
All participants received the material realized in the project: the Photo book with the report of the day, the 2016 Calendar and the book with the sets of rules of integrated sport.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Teaching of Special Didactics and Pedagogy of the Rome University “Foro Italico” and more than 100 people attended it. They were representatives of sports associations and of Public Institutions, exponents of the social world, students of the University.
A short film opened the meeting and showed the project objectives, the activities that had already been done as well as the results achieved. The speeches of the relators followed to the projection of the video.
Professor Pasquale Moliterni of the Rome University “Foro Italico” focused the attention on the progress that has been made until now in the field of sport integration of people with disabilities. He also underlined the efforts and commitment of the University “Foro Italico” in developing training paths aimed at providing skills that are specific of this field.
Mr Mario Pappagallo, Vice President of the National CSEN, illustrated the project realized, underlining that CSEN has ever since been committed in promoting the “educational” aspects of sports activities.
Right after, Vincenzo Falabella, President of the Federazione Italiana per il Superamento dell’Handicap (Italian Federation for Overcoming of Handicaps) gave a report on the current situation and the actions for the inclusion of people with disabilities in Italy and Europe. Pau Espinoza Trull, majoring at the Rome University “Foro Italico”, then presented the results of a study about the characteristics, motivations and level of satisfaction of the project participants regarding the experience they lived.

Angela Magnanini, researcher at the University “Foro Italico”, concluded with a report about the characteristics of the Inclusive Sport Model and the tight and essential connection between education, training and sport activities (in an inclusive meaning). She also underlined the close link between the elaborations at theoretical level and the testing and validation on the field of integrated sport models Link.
A debate followed, which resulted in useful exchanging of experiences and opinions on futures perspectives to pursue in the field of integrated sport and, more in general, in the social inclusion field. Among those who participated in the debate, there were a student, the President of the Italian Canoeing Federation and a representative of the Italian Agency ISFOL which is a public Body for training and vocational guidance.
