On Saturday 23rd May over 5,000 athletes will compete in 12 Italian venues at the sporting event organized by CSEN
“EUROPEAN DAY OF INTEGRATED SPORT”: 320 European athletes participating in the event organized by CSEN are now in Rome.
On Saturday 23rd May 12 Italian venues will host the first edition of the European Day of Integrated Sport, a sports event promoted by the European Union and organized by CSEN.
For the first time in Europe, over 5,000 athletes and champions, both able-bodied and disabled, will compete together in 12 integrated sports disciplines, under the flag of sport without barriers. It is a first initiative of this kind and it aims at defining international regulations of integrated sports.
The event will take place the day after tomorrow in Aosta, Assisi, Brindisi, Crotone, Grosseto, Messina, Monza, Pescara, Rome, Sennori (SS), Turin and Udine simultaneously, and it will be the first one ever for numbers of participants and countries involved: over 5,000 Italian athletes and 320 ones from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, United Kingdom, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romani, Slovakia, Spain and Turkey in sports as football, baskin, martial arts and table tennis, just to mention a few ones. The European athletes, disabled and non-disabled, have arrived in Rome and tomorrow they all be at the Olympic Stadium for the official presentation of the event. After the presentation they will be transferred to the different competition venues scattered all over Italy.
